Englewood Cliffs, NJ — Alliance Shippers Inc., a leading provider of global logistics services, is pleased to announce that it has been named a 2021 Top 100 3PL Provider by Inbound Logistics magazine. This marks the 10th consecutive year Alliance Shippers Inc. has earned a spot on list.

“When a business disruption like no other challenged supply chains last year, it was 3PLs who stepped up. From ramping up e-commerce fulfillment strategies to finding capacity in a strained environment, leading 3PLs such as Alliance Shippers Inc. provided the needed solutions. In recognition of that effort, Inbound Logistics editors chose Alliance Shippers Inc. as a 2021 Top 100 3PL Provider,” said Editor Felecia Stratton.

Each year, the publication’s editorial team evaluates submitted information, conducts personal interviews and online research, and compares that data to its readers’ global supply chain and logistics challenges as they hand-pick a set of elite third-party providers.

This time around, they looked for companies offering transformative solutions that drive integration across internal and external business processes while demonstrating excellence in optimizing transportation and logistics operations.

The 2021 Top 100 3PL Providers were selected from a pool of more than 300 companies, and Alliance Shippers Inc. qualified “because its solutions create cost savings and efficiencies that impact the entire value chain,” Stratton added.

Englewood Cliffs, NJ — Food Logistics, the only publication exclusively dedicated to covering the movement of product through the global cold food supply chain, has named Alliance Shippers Inc. to the 2021 Top Green Providers list.

Food Logistics’ annual Top Green Providers recognizes companies whose products, services or exemplary leadership is enhancing sustainability within the cold food and beverage industry. The editorial staff evaluates a company’s participation in such programs as the EPA’s SmartWay and other recognized sustainability programs; facilities that are LEED-certified and/or feature solar panels, LED lighting and other energy saving installations and retrofits; and other means of producing measurable reductions in GHG emissions, to name a few.

“When the pandemic hit, I thought for sure that sustainability would be pushed to the wayside. But, in fact, the complete opposite happened. And, I couldn’t be more appreciative of the supply chain industry’s efforts in making sustainability top of mind in every aspect of their organization despite the many supply chain disruptions they continue to face,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “Sustainability is the key to success, and the recipients of this year’s award prove that when sustainability matters to them, they will continue do great things and make a difference in the industry.”

Englewood Cliffs, NJ — Alliance Shippers Inc.,a leading provider of global logistics services, has been selected as a 2021 Green Supply Chain Partner — a distinction reserved for industry leaders in sustainability initiatives. Alliance Shippers Inc. has received this honor yearly since 2013.

“We are constantly striving to move in the direction of clean, green transportation solutions,” said Larry Henry, VP of Logistics & Special Projects at Alliance Shippers Inc., “and this honor is a testament to that sustainable mindset.”

As part of the company’s multi-pronged efforts, Alliance Shippers Inc. has equipped its CARB compliant 53’ refrigerated fleet with two-way cellular tracking devices that draw power from a battery source located within the units. This enables not only GPS tracking but also temperature adjustment and the ability to turn units on or off at any time. In addition, each refrigerated unit is equipped with solar panels that continuously charge the batteries, which reduces fuel consumption and emissions.
Applying these advanced technologies to its refrigerated fleet allows Alliance Shippers Inc. to move customer cargo using the nation’s railroad system, which reduces CO² emissions by approximately 67% when compared to transporting those same goods via highway trucks.

Those selected for Inbound Logistics’ annual G75, a curated list of 75 companies, “go above and beyond to help shippers maintain sustainable, eco-friendly supply chain operations,” according to the publication. “These companies have spent years developing and implementing best practices to ensure the footprint they leave on the world is a positive one.”

Alliance Shippers Inc. began its participation in the Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay program in 2005 and was first certified in 2006. Since then, the company has consistently maintained this credential. In 2017 and 2019, the company received the Excellence Award from the EPA.
